Welcome!
This journal is a companion to the [info]crossover_news newsletter community, and is used only to keep track of possible content for the newsletter. Please do not friend this journal back. We only want to see publicly available content. We try not to link to personal journals especially if you crosspost at one of the communities we do watch.

If you do-- or do not-- wish to have your journal watched for newsletter content, reply to this post and you will be removed from the list.

Thanks!

Certainly keep an eye on mine - I come up with the weirdest crossovers sometimes. *grins*

permission to pimp this on twisted shorts as well.

And if it's public post on my journal, it's free game if there's anything that interests you link wise there.

Go ahead! I can use as much publicity as I can get; I just didn't want to flood everyone all at once last night. =)

Thanks. =)

I definitely write crossovers. I also mod [info]sg_femslash for Stargate verse femslash and crossovers with any fandom are definitely allowed there.

Friending you, thanks.

I tend not to freind general comms under the theory that (1) a specific xover community already exists for many of them (in this case, [info]stargate_xing) to which they can easily crosspost, and (2) it would make the f-list here MUCH too long to read if I added general comms.

I'm not sure if this will fall into your scope but [info]eljayuk is the community for planning the unofficial 2008 LJ fandom convention. Is multi-fandom close enough to crossover?

(Reply to this) (Thread)

[info]cross_watcher

This community is mostly for fan-produced content, such as fiction, RPGs, graphics, vids, and what have you, that include material from more than one fandom. I can list the comm as a friend, but probably won't report anything except finalized information.

If the vast majority of your posts are not crossover, I'd prefer not to make the f-list here any longer than it needs to be. Do you crosspost them to any crossover comms? (See this journal's info page for a good long list of such).

As for challenges, feel free to leave a note on future issues of the Newsletter and I'll mention them.

Hey - it isn't my journal since I rarely post fic to that but one of the communities I run: [info]watcherverse which is a crossover RPG. It has both RPG posts and people posting crossover stories set in that universe. You are welcome to add the community to your watch list if you would like.

Thanks,

Greetings!

As previously discussed, I will keep an eye on [info]facets_of_faith and [info]faith_slash, as well as my own stuff.

Will also pimp this on Facets when the first issue comes out.

So, there will be a post here for each "issue" and we all comment on possible content to be included? Makes sense to me! :)

Thank you! Sorry for the delay in replying. First issue should go up sometime in the next several hours.

My experience of newsletters is that people comment on each issue, and the person doing the newsletter checks those comments before doing the next one. In theory, anyway. =)

I like crossovers and post them from time to time. Watch me?

Also, are you going to be watching the Multiverse Space Show Crossover Ficathon journal? Because when Andraste opens the archive with this year's ficathon entrants, that'll be a lot of crossover fics.

Julie, thanks for the mention, but I don't intend to friend general comms, as a rule. There are so many comms out there already focused on crossovers, especially general ones, that an author can easily cross-post to; if I tried to friend general comms it would multiply the f-list here beyond what any one person can actually deal with, with a low % chance of the content being relevant.

You are, however, welcome to comment on each issue of the Newsletter with anything I missed, for inclusion in the next one. =)

I am slightly obsessive/compulsive and having an odd 'also friend of' on my user info page spoils the pattern and gives me an itchy feeling. If I can't Friend this journal back is it okay if I do the 'ban from commenting' thing that will stop the journal showing in the 'also friend of' space? I don't think that it will actually stop you from being able to see my posts.

Hi there, I am doing a multi-fandom anime crossover comic that's just located on deviantart right now. It's at about 11 pages right now but I would like to spread the word out. Would this be considered acceptable content for this newsletter?

Sorry for the late reply, the notification message never arrived at the email account I use to track this journal.

Unfortunately, I could only mention your comic in this newsletter if you also happened to post it somewhere on Livejournal. I've made that a rule of thumb from the very beginning, as there is far too much crossover content on the wider internet to even hope to grasp a sample of it here without inevitably giving the appearance of favoritism. I'm only one person; I don't have a team backing me up.

I'd like to be added to the watch list, as I often do xovers. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you link in your next newsletter to my latest xover, which is a few weeks old and you probably wouldn't catch? It is Supernatural/Anita Blake 'verse and has a sequel linked to it at the bottom I just published this week.
Thank you!

[info]brain_asplode is a new comm for an unoriginal idea -- first people suggest characters, then said characters are tossed together for random pairings. the results should be painful, if not hysterically funny.
